Football Recap: Boonville Starts Season with Win Against Paoli

Boonville took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They claimed a resounding 33-0 victory over the Paoli Rams. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Pioneers just coasted through the last quarter.

Grant Davis was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 162 yards and four scores on only 14 carries. Those 162 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Boonville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Peyton Holley and Hunter Lauderdale.

Coming up, Boonville will face off against Mt. Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Pioneers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Paoli, they will challenge Corydon Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
