Scott's Branch comes up short despite Jordan Kind's dominant performance

Recap: Scott's Branch Eagles vs. Bethune-Bowman Mohawks

The Scott's Branch Eagles's 20-4 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They lost to Bethune-Bowman on the road by a decisive 57-42 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, Scott's Branch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Bethune-Bowman is ranked 83rd).

When it comes to explaining why Scott's Branch lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jordan Kind. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points.

Scott's Branch has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Bethune-Bowman, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.

Scott's Branch will head out on the road to challenge Carvers Bay at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bethune-Bowman, they will be playing at home against Branchville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Branchville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday.
