Basketball Recap: Central Plains Takes a Loss

Central Plains suffered their biggest defeat since January 23rd on Saturday. They came up short against the Sunrise Christian Academy Buffaloes, falling 55-30. The Oilers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buffaloes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2019.

Having lost for the first time this season, Central Plains fell to 2-1. As for Sunrise Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Plains and Chase will compete for holiday cheer on Tuesday. Central Plains is facing Chase at the right time seeing as Chase is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Sunrise Christian Academy and Oak Park will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oak Park will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Sunrise Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
