Basketball Recap: Josey Picks Up Ninth Straight Win at Home

Josey extended their home winning streak to nine games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Kerri Fluellen. The Josey Eagles strolled past the Thomson Bulldogs with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 55-37 thanks in part to Fluellen, who went 7 of 9 en route to 20 points in addition to six boards and six steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 51 games she's played dating back to last season.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jada Kendrick, who posted 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Ty?Leishiah Latimore, who put up 12 points and seven boards.

Josey has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Thomson, with the loss, they broke their 12-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Josey will welcome Glenn Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Josey is facing Glenn Hills at the right time seeing as Glenn Hills is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
