Basketball Recap: Woodward's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Woodward entered their match against Perry on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Woodward Boomers fell 65-58 to the Perry Maroons. The Boomers were probably out for revenge after losing 47-46 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Woodward's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4. As for Perry, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Woodward has already played their next game, a 72-31 victory against Cushing on the 11th. As for Perry, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 65-34 defeat against Kingfisher on the 11th.
