Basketball Recap: Wolfe City Comes Up Short

Wolfe City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. The matchup between them and the Celeste Blue Devils didn't end well, with the Wolfe City Wolves falling 52-37. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-23 on January 3rd.

Despite the loss, Wolfe City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Adams dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Adams has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 19 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Anthony ALDANA, who posted eight points.

Wolfe City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Celeste, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wolfe City will square off against Whitewright at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Celeste, they will challenge Trenton at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Trenton has lost six straight at home , while Celeste has lost three on the road.
