Volleyball Recap: Oakland Tech Falls Short of Livingston in the Playoffs

Oakland Tech and Livingston squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Oakland Tech had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Wolves. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Oakland Tech started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-22.

Leading Livingston to victory were Shabadjot Kaloya and Gurvir Singh. Kaloya had 35 assists and four digs, while Singh hit 69.4% for 25 kills and 12 digs and one block. Singh has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 64 times he's played.

Oakland Tech's loss dropped their record down to 20-13. As for Livingston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 36-6 record this season.

Oakland Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Livingston, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Oakland on the 24th.
