Meanwhile, Sangre de Cristo strolled past Questa with points to spare two weeks ago, taking the game 20-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunderbirds.

Sangre de Cristo's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Walsenburg, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything came up roses for Walsenburg against Sangre de Cristo in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 46-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
