For the second straight game, Roanoke Rapids will face off against Nash Central. The Yellowjackets will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Roanoke Rapids is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Roanoke Rapids and Nash Central, and Nash Central kept the tradition alive. The Yellowjackets took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Tuesday.

On the hitting side, Justin Langley was a standout: he scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Bowen, who scored two runs and stole two bases.

Nash Central is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Roanoke Rapids, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
