Basketball Recap: Owen County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Trimble County last Wednesday, Owen County came back down to earth. The Owen County Rebels took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gallatin County Wildcats. The Rebels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 40-39.

Owen County's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Gallatin County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6-1.

Owen County will head out to face off against Carroll County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gallatin County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-56 defeat against Spencer County on the 1st.
