Volleyball Recap: Appling Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Appling Christian Academy entered their match against Faith Baptist Christian Academy on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in August.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Appling Christian Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-20, 19-25, 15-11.

Bella Gray paced Appling Christian Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Gray got some help from Brailey Hulett and her four assists. Gray was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Appling Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 14-2. As for Faith Baptist Christian Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 27-3.

Appling Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Colquitt Christian Academy on the 3rd. As for Faith Baptist Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Wayne Christian Academy on the 2nd.
