Basketball Recap: Magnolia Science Academy Reseda Comes Up Short at Home Against Animo Watts

Magnolia Science Academy Reseda unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a hard 41-25 fall against Animo Watts on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Animo Watts was led to victory by Keivan Fitz and Joshua Baldwin. Fitz posted 14 points in addition to four steals and four blocks, while Baldwin dropped a double-double with 20 points and 14 boards. That's the most points Baldwin has posted since back in November of 2024.

Magnolia Science Academy Reseda and Animo Watts will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Warriors see the court they'll take on CHAMPS at 5:35 p.m. on December 1. As for Animo Watts, their break will end when they face Animo City of Champions at 7:00 p.m. on December 1.
