Soccer Game Preview: Logan County vs. Russellville

The Logan County Cougars will challenge the Russellville Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

It was a proper cat-fight when Logan County duked it out with Hopkinsville on Saturday. The Cougars came up short against the Tigers, falling 6-0. Logan County have struggled against Hopkinsville recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Russellville fell victim to Franklin-Simpson and their airtight defense on Saturday. They lost 8-0 to the Wildcats.

Logan County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Russellville, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Logan County took their victory against Russellville in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
