Soccer Game Preview: Polk County vs. A.C. Reynolds

The Polk County Wolverines will take on the A.C. Reynolds Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Polk County knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully A.C. Reynolds likes a good challenge.

On Thursday, Polk County got the win against East Rutherford by a conclusive 4-1. Polk County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, A.C. Reynolds managed to keep up with Hendersonville until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Rockets came up short against the Bearcats, falling 4-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, A.C. Reynolds' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Polk County pushed their record up to 12-2-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six contests. As for A.C. Reynolds, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-3-2.
