Basketball Recap: Boaz Wins Going Away Against Douglas

It's playoff time, and Boaz had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victor by a 44-18 margin over the Douglas Eagles on Saturday. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Eagles are ranked 325th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Boaz is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points per game. As for Douglas, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-18.

As of now, neither Boaz nor Douglas have any future games scheduled.
