Baseball Recap: Allen Park Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Allen Park's offense. They fell just short of the Huron Chiefs by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The Jaguars have struggled against the Chiefs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Allen Park got a good showing from Joseph Ramey, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Ramey has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Allen Park's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for Huron, the win keeps they at an undefeated 16-0.

Looking ahead, Allen Park will look to defend their home field on Monday against Lincoln Park at 4:30 p.m. The Railsplitters have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.19 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Huron, they are taking a road trip to take on Milan at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
