Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gardner). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Murdock Blue Devils a 19-0 shutout on Monday. The Wildcats have beaten the Blue Devils the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Blue Devils has come to flipping the script.

Gardner now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Murdock, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gardner will host Bromfield at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Murdock, they will welcome West Boylston at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Lions have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
