Millard North barely beat Burke the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Bulldogs  a   10-0 shutout  on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2024.
 Brandon Berge looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Alexander Michaud was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Marcus Hankins, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  doubles, one  stolen base,  and one  run.
The  victory made it two in a row for Millard North and  bumps their season record up to 12-5. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Burke,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-13.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millard North will host Papillion-LaVista  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Monarchs will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Burke, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fremont  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.47  runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
