Basketball Recap: Volunteer Takes a Loss

Volunteer lost against Cherokee back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Volunteer Falcons fell to the Cherokee Chiefs 43-38. The contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Volunteer has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Cherokee, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12.

Volunteer has already played their next contest (against University School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cherokee will host North Greene at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Greene will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Cherokee surely won't give up without a fight.
