Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pelion). They strolled past the Ninety Six Wildcats with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 69-53. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers who have now won seven games in a row.

Pelion's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zyan Davis, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Davis has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 12 times he's played. Kolton Rogers was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards.

Pelion smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Pelion's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Ninety Six, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Pelion Panthers challenge the Saluda Tigers at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Ninety Six, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dixie at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
