Basketball Recap: Newton Gets the Win

Newton won the last time they faced Mt. Carmel and things went their way on Monday too. The Newton Eagles walked away with a 47-37 win over the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces.

Newton's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Mt. Carmel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

Newton will face off against Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Newton is facing Marshall at the right time seeing as Marshall is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Mt. Carmel has already played their next contest (against Robinson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
