There's no place like home for Vestavia Hills, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Oak Mountain Eagles on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rebels have posted since April 20, 2024.

The win snapped Vestavia Hills' losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-14-1 record. As for Oak Mountain, they dropped their record down to 17-13 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vestavia Hills will venture away from home to take on Hoover at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels are facing the Buccaneers at the right time seeing as the Buccaneers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Oak Mountain, they are taking a road trip to face off against Hewitt-Trussville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
