Basketball Game Preview: Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors vs. Midland Trail Patriots

The Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Midland Trail Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Mount Hope Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.

Last Tuesday, Mount Hope Christian Academy was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to Pipestem Christian Academy. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from MARSHALL DORADO, who posted 23 points and three steals. Mount Hope Christian Academy is 2-1 when DORADO posts 20 or more points, but 12-14 otherwise. Another player making a difference was MALACHI FLOHR, who earned 17 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Midland Trail ended up a good deal behind Wyoming East on Thursday and lost 67-48. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mount Hope Christian Academy will have to contain Payton Bailes as he made an impact in Midland Trail's last game. He put up 23 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Thad Brown, who shot 40% from the field on his way to 12 points and three blocks.

Midland Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Mount Hope Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 14-15.
