Recap: Rochester Zebras vs. Winamac Warriors
The Rochester Zebras were the 40-19 winner over the Winamac Warriors when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Rochester fell 43-33 to Winamac on Saturday. Rochester has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Zebras players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jadyn Field, who scored 4 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella McCarter, who scored 13 points.
Piper Link was the offensive standout of the match as she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Maggie Smith was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 5 steals.
Rochester's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Winamac, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Rochester will head out on the road to face off against Culver Community at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Winamac, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Central is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
