There wasn't a lot of overall movement in the power rankings this week, but with 16 teams changing position, that doesn't mean the week lacked for thrills. We'll dive into that and more in this week's report.
Big Showdown
It was a battle of top-notch squads when Burr & Burton (3rd in the power rankings) took on Bellows Falls (5th) last week. Victory was within reach, but Burr & Burton ultimately lost 22 - 16 to Bellows Falls. As a result, Burr & Burton fell one position in the power rankings.
Points Galore
It was up, up, and away for Fair Haven and Milton last week as they combined for the highest point total (69) among all power ranked teams. Fair Haven came out on top against Milton with a 39 - 30 win. The victory raised Fair Haven up one spot in the power rankings.
Upcoming Drama
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Hartford (2nd in the power rankings) and St. Johnsbury Academy (1st). Both teams have their heads held high after landslide victories against their previous opponents. St. Johnsbury Academy and Hartford both have plenty of landslide victories under their belts (St. Johnsbury Academy with six and Hartford with five), but only one can come away triumphant this week. We'll find out who that is soon.
