It was a good run, but West Greene unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chuckey-Doak Black Knights. The Buffaloes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Black Knights earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

West Greene's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Chuckey-Doak, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Looking ahead, West Greene will be playing in front of their home fans against Unaka at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chuckey-Doak, they will head out to challenge Unicoi County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
