Basketball Recap: St. Cloud Tech Takes a Loss

St. Cloud Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Alexandria Cardinals and fell 109-71. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 63-34.

Alexandria was led to victory by Chase Thompson and Mason Witt. Thompson went 12-for-18 to rack up 28 points, while Witt shot 64% from the field en route to 28 points. Thompson is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last 20 games he's played. Talan Witt was another key player, going 8-for-11 on his way to 17 points.

St. Cloud Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Alexandria, the win (which was their 19th in a row) raised their record to 23-3.

As of now, neither St. Cloud Tech nor Alexandria have any future games scheduled.
