Softball Recap: Rock Hill Takes a Loss

Rock Hill came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Northwest Mohawks, falling 13-4. The Redmen have struggled against the Mohawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Alaina Wilds was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Abby Schug was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Rock Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Northwest, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3.

Coming up, Rock Hill will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Cooper at 11:00 a.m. As for Northwest, they will venture away from home to face off against Eastern at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mohawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 11.6 runs per game this season.
