Volleyball Recap: Knightstown Comes Up Short

Knightstown lost against Lapel back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Lapel scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 25-17.

Lanee Swindell paced Knightstown's offense, picking up 12 kills. Swindell got some help from Jaycie Cole and her 15 assists. Cole was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Knightstown now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Lapel, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-8.

Knightstown has already played their next contest (against Eastern Hancock), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lapel, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Taylor at 8:00 p.m. on the 16th.
