Soccer Recap: Omaha Central Takes a Loss

Omaha Central lost against Kearney back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles came up short against the Bearcats, falling 6-2. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Omaha Central were already down 5-0.

Siidi Adan and Zaakir Vance scored both of Omaha Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Omaha Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Kearney, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Coming up, Omaha Central will head out to take on Omaha South at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Omaha Central's defense better be ready for this one: Omaha South have averaged an impressive 2.9 goals per game this season. As for Kearney, they will take on Lincoln Southwest in a tournament on Tuesday. Lincoln Southwest's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
