Softball Recap: Frontier Comes Up Short

Frontier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell 7-2 to the South Newton Rebels. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 15-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Ryleigh Whitaker and Emmalyn Stockment stepped up to the plate in a big way. Whitaker went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI, while Stockment went 3-for-4 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Stockment has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Addi Govert, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Frontier's record is now 3-12. As for South Newton, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Coming up, Frontier will square off against Benton Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for South Newton, they will be playing at home against Fountain Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
