Volleyball Recap: Maricopa Takes a Loss

Maricopa was the 2-1 winner over Boulder Creek when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars on Saturday.

Leading Boulder Creek to victory were Adilyn Mittendorf and Julia Martain. Mittendorf had nine digs and five assists, while Martain had four digs and two aces. That's the most assists Mittendorf has posted over her last seven matches.

Maricopa's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Boulder Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Maricopa will head out on the road to face off against Catalina Foothills at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Boulder Creek, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Bradshaw Mountain on the 20th.
