Softball Recap: North Lincoln Has No Trouble Against Statesville

While North Lincoln put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Statesville. The Knights blew past the Greyhounds 17-0. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Whitney Newell was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Reagan Karr, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for North Lincoln and bumps their season record up to 15-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Statesville, they are on a 29-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Lincoln beat the Greyhounds by a score of 19-1 later that day.
