Basketball Recap: Lee County Comes Up Short

Lee County was the 44-29 winner over Western Harnett when they last played one another back in November, but their luck changed this time around. The Lee County Yellow Jackets fell 41-29 to the Western Harnett Eagles on Friday. The matchup marked the Yellow Jackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lee County's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Western Harnett, their record is now 3-5.

Lee County and Western Harnett could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Lee County (ranked 202nd) will meet West Brunswick (ranked 83rd) at 6:00 p.m. on December 26th. Similarly, Western Harnett will take on Green Hope at 2:00 p.m. on December 26th down 308 places (412 vs. 104).
