Football Recap: Clovis West Wins Going Away Against St. Joseph + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Clovis West had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 28-7 margin over the St. Joseph Knights. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 21 points or more this season.

Jamar (JJ) Howard produced another solid performance rushing for 147 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, while also throwing for 185 yards on ten of 21 attempts. Those 147 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. A healthy portion of Howard's aerial production (86 yards to be exact) went to Andrew Garcia.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Clovis West was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 348 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Clovis West's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for St. Joseph, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3.

Coming up, Clovis West will challenge Clovis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
