Football Game Preview: Daingerfield Tigers vs. Hughes Springs Mustangs + Official Tickets

The Daingerfield Tigers will square off against the Hughes Springs Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Daingerfield's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last five games.

On Friday, Daingerfield strolled past Hooks with points to spare, taking the game 76-59. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won four in a row.

A big part of Daingerfield's victory came down to the chemistry between Isaiah Parker and his top target Reign Wallace. Parker threw for 408 yards and seven TDs while picking up 15.1 yards per attempt while Wallace gained 286 total yards and six touchdowns. Thanks to that big game, Parker is now up to 26 passing touchdowns on the season. Micah Broughton helped Parker out on the ground, rushing for 108 yards and one score on only ten carries.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 37 points the game before, Hughes Springs was a bit more limited in their matchup last Friday. They were outmatched by Hooks and fell 65-3. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Hughes Springs now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Daingerfield, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Everything came up roses for Daingerfield against Hughes Springs in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 60-0 victory. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
