Clovis is 7-1 against Edison since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Cougars will be taking part in a tournament against the Tigers at 10:00 a.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Clovis and eight for Edison.

Clovis is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Clovis North on Thursday. They fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Cougars have suffered since February 28th.

Meanwhile, Edison came up short against Sanger West on Tuesday, falling 13-4.

Anthony Cobian was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Becerra, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Edison's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Clovis, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Clovis beat Edison 11-8 when the teams last played back in April of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
