Volleyball Recap: Rustburg Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Rustburg lost against Appomattox County back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Devils fell 2-0 to the Raiders.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Appomattox County scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18.

Baylee Cash paced Rustburg's offense, picking up ten kills. Cash got some help from Payton Lewis and her 15 assists. Finally, Cash was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Rustburg's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Appomattox County, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Rustburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Halifax County on the 20th. As for Appomattox County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Orange County on the 20th.
