Basketball Game Preview: Clay County Bulldogs vs. East Robertson Indians

The Clay County Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the East Robertson Indians at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Clay County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Last Saturday, Clay County never let South Pittsburg onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The two-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for East Robertson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They took down Red Boiling Springs 45-30 on Friday. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 259th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

East Robertson pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Clay County, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Clay County didn't have too much breathing room in their match against East Robertson in their previous meeting back in February, but they still walked away with a 60-56 win.
