Northern Durham proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chapel Hill Tigers, sneaking past 7-5. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Roxy Nelson was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Lainey Stutts was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Northern Durham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Northern Durham has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-9 record this season.
