Basketball Game Preview: Eastside Catholic Crusaders vs. Lakeside Lions

Eastside Catholic hasn't had much luck against Lakeside recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Eastside Catholic Crusaders will face off against the Lakeside Lions at 7:30 p.m.

Last Friday, Eastside Catholic came up short against Roosevelt and fell 64-53. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Roughriders are ranked 19th).

Meanwhile, Lakeside humbled Newport - Bellevue with a 67-18 victory. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 21 points or more this season.

Eastside Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Lakeside, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-1.

Eastside Catholic came up short against Lakeside in their previous meeting on January 3rd, falling 49-43. Can Eastside Catholic avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
