Basketball Preview: Gila Ridge Hawks vs. Cibola Raiders
The Gila Ridge Hawks will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Cibola Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Monday, Gila Ridge slipped by the Kings 53-52.
Meanwhile, Cibola's and the Criminals' contest on Monday was close at halftime, but the Raiders turned on the heat in the second half with 41 points. Cibola breezed by the Criminals on the road to the tune of 70-39. Cibola pushed the score to 54-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Criminals had little chance of recovering from.
Gila Ridge's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-16. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Cibola, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.
