Westside is 10-0 against Rutland since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Westside Seminoles just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Rutland Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Westside's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Rutland has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

Westside will head into Thursday's match eager for some revenge after what happened against Callaway: Westside blew Callaway out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Callaway got their revenge. Westside fell just short of Callaway by a score of 35-33.

Meanwhile, Rutland played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 60-32 loss at the hands of Callaway. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 506th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 238th).

Westside's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-8. As for Rutland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.

Everything came up roses for Westside against Rutland in their previous meeting on January 14th, as the team secured a 58-21 win. Will Westside repeat their success, or does Rutland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
