Basketball Recap: Tunstall Takes a Loss

Tunstall was the 61-57 winner over Dan River when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tunstall Trojans took a 79-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dan River Wildcats on Monday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (61), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

It was another big night for Jameer Reynolds, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and 12 rebounds for Dan River. Reynolds' evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zy'Ere Smith, who posted 16 points.

Tunstall's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Dan River, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

Tunstall has already played their next matchup, a 65-64 win against Bassett on the 4th. As for Dan River, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 84-72 victory against Altavista on the 4th.
