Softball Recap: La Sierra Drops Season-High Score on Norte Vista

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask La Sierra). Everything went their way against the Norte Vista Braves on Tuesday as they made off with a 22-5 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-0 on April 11th.

La Sierra got a massive performance out of Rose Johnson, who got three hits. What's more, Johnson posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Anais Romero, who got three hits.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: La Sierra kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 25 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for La Sierra and bumps their season record up to 8-11. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.5 runs over those games. As for Norte Vista, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-16-1 record this season.

La Sierra will have a chance to go back-to-back against Norte Vista: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
