Basketball Recap: Mercer County Comes Up Short

Mercer County lost against Rockridge back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mercer County Golden Eagles were beaten by the Rockridge Rockets 59-28. The matchup marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mercer County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Rockridge, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Mercer County and Pittsfield will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rockridge, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-44 victory against Peoria Notre Dame on the 21st.
