Basketball Recap: Brock Kirby Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Cleveland

Splendora won against Shepherd on Friday with 54 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Splendora Wildcats secured a 54-49 W over the Cleveland Indians. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 55-40 win the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Splendora's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brock Kirby led the charge by putting up 17 points and five rebounds. The matchup was Kirby's third in a row with at least ten points. Tramaine Jackson was another key player, posting ten points and five assists.

Splendora is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for Cleveland, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
