Greensburg came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Lawrenceburg Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Greensburg never let Lawrenceburg on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-9, 25-22.

Greensburg's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauren Powers, who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most digs Powers has posted over her last seven games. The team also got some help courtesy of Carmin Ripperger, who had five digs and two aces.

Greensburg's record is now 8-1. As for Lawrenceburg, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2.

Coming up, Greensburg will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Rushville at 7:00 p.m. As for Lawrenceburg, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Oldenburg Academy on the 28th.
