Basketball Game Preview: Rancho Verde Mustangs vs. North Saxons

The Rancho Verde Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the North Saxons at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rancho Verde knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully North likes a good challenge.

Last Thursday, Rancho Verde came up short against Rancho Christian and fell 65-58.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, North beat Torrance 68-63 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Saxons.

North has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Rancho Verde, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5.
