Softball Recap: Stevenson Comes Up Short

Stevenson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 12-5 to the Columbia Bruins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-7 on Tuesday.

Rebecca Townsend made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Abi Swanson, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.

Stevenson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Columbia, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.

Stevenson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Columbia, they will challenge Cascade Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
